1.Read verses 1-5a. Where did Jesus go and how did the crowd respond? (1,2) Who interrupted Jesus and how? (3,4) What did Jesus see? (5a)

2.Read verses 5b-7. What did Jesus say to the paralytic? (5b) How did Jesus show his love and divine care for him? Who silently opposed Jesus’ words, and why? (6,7)

3.Read verses 8-12. What did Jesus want them to know and what did he say? (8-11) According to Jesus’ words, what happened to the paralytic? (12) What does this reveal about Jesus?

4.Read verses 13-14. Where did Jesus go and what did he do? (13) Whom did he notice and what did he say to him? (14) What does “Follow me” practically mean to Levi and you?

5.Read verses 15-17. How did Levi celebrate his new life? (15) Why did the scribes of the Pharisees criticize Jesus? (16) What did Jesus say the purpose of his coming (17)? What does this mean to you? How has Jesus forgiven and called you?
