Workman Approved by God
2 Timothy 2:14-19

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
- Read Verses 14-19. What warnings does Paul give God’s people? (14-19) Why is “quarreling about words” harmful? Why is godless chatter dangerous?
- Read verse 15. Instead of quarreling, what does Paul command Timothy to do? What does it mean “Do your best to present yourself to God”? How can we become a workman approved by God?
- Read Verse 15. Think about the two important attitudes : “one who does not need to be ashamed” and “one who correctly handles the word of truth.” What does each of them mean?
- What can we learn about being “a workman approved by God” from “a good soldier” “an Athlete” and “a hardworking Farmer”? (2Ti 2:1-6) Based on this passage, what would be your resolutions and prayer topics for the New Year 2026?
