Part I. Triumph by the Blood of the Lamb (12:1-13:18)

1. Read 12:1-6. What are two great signs that appeared in Heaven? What do the signs tell about God’s redemptive history? Read 12:7-12. What kind of war broke out in heaven and what was the result? (7-10) What warning was given to the earth (9, 12b)? What is Satan called and what is Satan’s long lasting scheme to thwart God’s plan? How do God’s people triumph over it? (10-12a)?

2. Read 12:13-17. How  does the dragon attack the woman and her offspring and how does God protect them?(Ex 19:4) Read 13:1-17. Describe the first  and the second beasts. What do each beast represent and why? How does the first beast fight against God and God’s holy people? How does the second beast lead the world astray and persecute God’s people? How can God’s people overcome the time of tribulation? (13:9-10, 18)

Part II.  Fear God and Give His Glory(14:1-20)

3. Read 14:1-5. What vision does God show to the believers who have been going through terrible suffering? (Heb 12:22) From the 144000 redeemed, what can we learn about God’s holy people? Read 14:6-13. What are the messages of the three angels? How should the unbeliever and the believers respond to the messages? (12-13)

1. Read 14:14-20. How are the two spiritual harvest at the end of the age depicted? (Mt13:37-39)  What does it mean “the earth was harvested”? (11:12, Mt24:31, 1 The4:16-17) How is God’s final judgment on the wicked described (17-20)? What does this passage teach about God’s final judgment and how God’s people will prevail?
