Rev_L3_GELF2024_Final

Revelation 6:1-11:19

Key Verse: 7:14-15

  1. The Lamb opened the seven seals (6:1-7:17)

  1.  What could the horses and their riders represent? (6:1-8; Zech 6:2-5) Who are the people in the fifth seal and what do they ask and how does God answer them? (6:9-11) What does the sixth seal show about Jesus’ judgment? What is the one question the judged people ask about God’s judgment? (7,17)

  1. Who is sealed and how are they sealed? (7:1-8) Who is “the great multitude” before the throne of God and the Lamb, and what do they do? (7:9-12) Why can they stand before the Lamb? (7:14) What is their great reward? (7:15-17) How is this heavenly vision a great encouragement for us believers who suffer tribulation and persecution?

  1. The Seven Trumpet Judgments (8:1-11:19)

  1. What happens when the seventh seal gets opened? (8:1-5) What could the first four trumpets stand for? (9:4; Zech 13:8; Isa 2:2; 57:20) How does the judgment that comes through the fifth trumpet reveal how severe and heavy God’s judgment will be? (9:1-2)   On whom does this judgment come? (9:4) How is the judgment that comes with the sixth trumpet described? (9:13-19) What is the purpose of the trumpet judgments, but how do people react to them? (9:20-21,1 Pet 4:17,18)

  1. What does the angel do and what does he proclaim? (10:1-7, Dan 12:1-9) What does it mean to “devour” the booklet? What prophetic message/vision was given to John?  (11:1-2) What is the task of the two witnesses and what happens to them when they have fulfilled their mission? (11:3-14) How do these visions strengthen and comfort us believers who prophesy as witnesses? (1 The 4:17) How do people react now? (11:14) What glorious vision is revealed when the seventh trumpet sounds? (11,15-19)
