* Everything is Possible for One who Believes (8:31 – 10:12)

1.After Peter’s confession, what did Jesus begin to teach about His Messiahship and true discipleship? (8:31-9:1) Why did Jesus reveal His glory together with Moses and Elijah at this moment, and what message did God give the disciples? (9:2-13) What can we learn about God’s plan for the Messiah?

2.How did Jesus challenge and help the unbelieving generation (the Father and his disciples) through the healing of  the boy? (9:14-29) What can we learn about faith, prayer, and healing? Despite their spiritual immaturity, what did Jesus continue to teach them? (35-41, 42-50, 10:1-12) What can we learn from Jesus? (Is 53:4-6; Eph 1:18)

* Jesus‘ Servantship as a Ransom for Many (10:13-52)

3.Through the little children and the rich young man, what did Jesus teach about receiving  the kingdom of God, which is equivalent to inheriting eternal life? (10:13-16, 17-27) Unlike the rich young man, what decision did the disciples make to follow Jesus, and what did Jesus promise as a reward to those who leave everything for him and for the gospel? (10:28-31)

4.Why did Jesus repeatedly teach about his coming sufferings, death and resurrection? (8:31-32; 9:12; 9:33-34, 10:32-34) How do their responses reveal them? (8:33, 9:32-34, 10:35-37, 41) What did Jesus teach about true greatness? (9:35, 10:41-44) How does Mark10:45 reveal Jesus’ life purpose and meaning of his death? How has Jesus’ servantship and life-giving sacrifice worked in your personal life and your life as a servant of world mission?
