“HAVE FAITH IN GOD”
Mark 11:12-25 Mark11_12_25Q_2025
Key Verse: 11:22
- Read verses 12-19. What happened on the previous day? (1-11) Why and how did Jesus curse the tree? (12-14) Why and how did Jesus clear the temple courts? (15-17) What does Jesus teach concerning the temple and how do they respond? (18)
- Read verses 20-21. In the morning, why was Peter so surprised and what did he remember? (20-21) How might the cursed fig tree relate to the temple, the religious leaders, and us?
- Read verse 22. What did Jesus say? What did “Have faith in God” mean to the disciples? How would Jesus’ words help them at this time? What does “Have faith in God” mean to us now?
- Read verse 23. What does Jesus say will happen when we have faith in God? What might “mountains” represent in this context? Think about “Not Doubt… But believe.” What does this relate to “Have faith in God”? What does “it will be done for them” imply?
- Read verses 24-25. How is prayer an expression of our faith in God? With what attitude should we pray and how can we have this attitude? (Mt6:10, 1Jn5:14-15) How is forgiveness related to faith and prayer? (25, Lk23:34a)
- How have God blessed our faith in 2025 and How can we apply “Have faith in God” to our lives in the New Year to come?
